COACH MEL

Cheerleading and dance has always been my passion. I attended and am a proud alumni cheerleader of Highland Springs High School. I also cheered and danced for different teams throughout my childhood. After high school although I choose a  different career path, my daughter's decision to dance led me to become a coach as I was really missing that part of my life.

After serving as head coach of a  Majorette competition team for the past 2 year, I joined Vibrant Queens Dance Co. and currently serve as the Majorette Dance Coach for all age groups. I love being a coach.

COACH ALACIA

I’m a mother of three, a wife, and a Realtor. One of my greatest passion is dance! I love kids and enjoy teaching them the art of dance!!!  I have over 8 years of dance experience(ballet, majorette, jazz, lyrical, tap, african). I have won a national championship with my dance team, coached a high school dance team, and attended center for the arts at Henrico High School for dance. I was a cheerleader for the semi-professional basketball team Richmond Elite. I have performed all over Richmond including the Altria theatre, Cultural Arts center of Glen Allen, and other venues. So let’s get together and D-A-N-C-E!!!

COACH NECIE

According to her mom, Coach Necie has been “wiggling since the womb”!  A fun, passionate, music lover, she found a love for the art at an early age coming from a family of artists and musicians.  Spending most of her early childhood teaching herself the choreography of pop and hip-hop music videos, it was then she knew dance was her passion. She took lessons throughout her school years in the areas of ballet, hip hop and praise dance and began teaching at the age of 16 to children and women ages ranging from 8-60.  Joining the dance team for the marching band at Henrico High School, becoming captain her senior year and winning various awards and championships during her tenure, is one of her most memorable times!  She went on to dance and cheer in college at the University at Buffalo year-round for football and basketball and continued post college for four years as a dancer and cheerleader for the Richmond Elite semi-pro basketball team.  She enjoys traveling, art, eating out, and having fun with her 10 nieces and nephews when not dancing or working on her career as a day trader.  She loves to be inspired and joining Vibrant Queens has helped fulfill her joy in life.  Her passion for dance remains and she hopes to continue learning, teaching and loving dance until forever!
